Nespresso Dulsão do Brasil Capsule
Note: The Dulsao do Brasil coffee pod capsules have been discontinued by Nespresso, although they are still sold in some variety packs. We recommend some similar alternatives below.
A pure Brazilian Arabica, Dulsão do Brasil is a blend of red and yellow Bourbon coffees. Separate roasting of the beans ensures roundness and balance while revealing sweet notes of honey and malt. The resulting coffee is both sweet and smooth.
Intensity: 4
Size of Cup: 40ml
Aromatic Profile: Sweet notes of honey and maple syrup dominate, on a base of malted cereal.
Origin: Delicate and distinguished, the red and yellow Bourbons coffees come from the high altitude plantations of southern Brazil. Hand-picked, the beans are dried in the sun with their mucilage, the nourishing pulp that surrounds it, to add more sweetness to the coffee.
Roasting: Some of the coffee is lightly roasted to bring out its sweet notes whilst the remaining part undergoes a longer roast to balance the blend.
Alternatives to the Nespresso Dulsao do Brasil Capsule
Nespresso have discontinued the Dulsao do Brasil capsule. There are some Nespresso variety packs that include Dulsao do Brasil capsules where you can still pick some up, but these are expected to be phased out over time. If you would like, you can try some of these variety packs and also pick up some other flavours you might just fall in love with! Note that for European variety packs, master origin coffees labelled “Nicaragua” are similar in nature.
Recommended: Nespresso Buenos Aires Lungo Capsule
A light to medium roast coffee with both sweet and cereal notes, the Nespresso Buenos Aires Lungo coffee pod capsule is a good alternative to the Dulsao do Brasil if you enjoy this kind of flavour in your coffee pod. Similar in many ways with a south American coffee, and with sweetness also prevailing, this would be an excellent choice.
